About ME
I'm Francesca Puccio.
I'm a building engineer, interior designer, and the founder of Standing Renovation in Brussels.
I grew up in Milan, where an appreciation for design, elegance and beautiful things became part of the way I see the world. I originally trained in building engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, later specialising in architecture and the conservation of historic buildings at KU Leuven, and have spent more than fifteen years designing and guiding residential projects in Brussels.
That combination still shapes the way I work today. I see the beauty of a space, but also how it is built. I notice proportions, light, materials and details, while thinking about how everything will actually work. And I enjoy finding solutions to problems that, at first, may not seem to have an obvious answer.
But homes are ultimately about people.
I’m genuinely curious about the people I work with: how they live, what they love, what they want to keep and what they would like to change. I am very good at sensing someone’s taste, often before they can put it into words, and I bring my own eye and experience to give it form.
Having lived in different countries and moved through different chapters of life myself, I’m particularly interested in the idea of home: the place we return to, where we gather, raise families, welcome friends and begin again. I believe the spaces we live in shape how we feel every day.
A beautiful home can be sophisticated without being showy, considered without feeling overly designed, and practical without losing character.
And there is more to the story.
I’m also a mother of two, an entrepreneur, and someone who has always been interested in what makes people grow and change. That curiosity has led me into coaching, leadership, facilitation and other projects alongside my design practice. Both worlds begin, for me, with listening carefully, seeing possibilities and helping something take shape
